The government has appointed new Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and District Magistrates in Natore, Gaibandha, and Rangpur districts. The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday night, August 19.
According to the notification, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, Mst. Sumoni Akter, has been appointed as the DC of Natore. Dr. Md. Moniruzzaman, Private Secretary (PS) to the Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, has been appointed as the DC of Gaibandha, while Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Israt Jahan, has been appointed as the DC of Rangpur.
Earlier, on August 18, Tuesday, Natore DC Asma Shaheen, Gaibandha DC Mohammad Masudur Rahman, and Rangpur DC Mohammad Ruhul Amin were withdrawn from their respective positions. They have been attached to the Ministry of Public Administration for subsequent postings.
