On Sunday, August 23, the first working day of the week, trading at the country’s premier stock market, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), was underway with a negative trend in the price indices. In the first two hours of trading, turnover amounted to Tk 298 crore.
The information was revealed by sources at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
According to the data, as of 12:00 noon, the benchmark DSE index, or DSEX, had fallen by 2.84 points to stand at 5,783 points. Among the other indices, the Shariah-based DSES index declined by 3.22 points, while the DS30 index fell by 1.79 points to stand at 1,152.89 points and 2,160.72 points, respectively.
As of 12:00 noon, among the companies traded, the share prices of 129 companies increased, while 171 declined, and the share prices of 85 companies remained unchanged.
