16 August (Sunday): Trading on the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), one of the country’s major stock markets, is underway with a negative trend in the price indices on the first working day of the week. In the first two hours of trading, turnover stood at Tk 8 crore.
The information was reported by sources at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE).
According to the data, as of 12:00 PM, the benchmark CSCX index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange had declined by 16.60 points to stand at 9,611 points. Among the other indices, the CSE50 index fell by 2.17 points, while the CSE30 index declined by 50.54 points, standing at 1,122.02 points and 14,047.04 points, respectively.
As of 12:00 PM, among the companies traded on the day, share prices increased for 65 companies, declined for 42 companies, while 20 companies remained unchanged.
