According to Bangladesh Bank’s own calculation, the country’s total foreign exchange reserves have increased to $37.24 billion. Meanwhile, under the IMF’s BPM6 reserve calculation method, the reserves currently stand at $32.43 billion.
On Tuesday, August 18, Bangladesh Bank spokesperson Arif Hossain Khan confirmed the latest reserve figures.
According to central bank sources, the country’s foreign exchange reserves have shown a positive trend over the past few days. On August 13, reserves stood at $37.11 billion according to Bangladesh Bank’s own calculation, while reserves under the BPM6 method stood at $32.30 billion.
Earlier, on August 12, Bangladesh Bank’s own calculation showed reserves at $37.06 billion, while the BPM6 figure was $32.26 billion.
On August 9, reserves stood at $36.66 billion according to Bangladesh Bank’s own calculation, while the BPM6 figure was $32.04 billion.
On August 4, Bangladesh Bank’s own calculation showed reserves at $36.59 billion, while reserves under the BPM6 method stood at $31.77 billion.
