Trading on the country’s premier stock market, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), ended on a positive note on Thursday, August 20, the last trading day of the week. Turnover stood at Tk 671 crore 98 lakh 91 thousand at the end of the trading session.
The information was disclosed by sources at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
According to the data, the benchmark DSE index, or DSEX, gained 16.36 points to close at 5,786.08 points. Among the other indices, the Shariah-based DSES index gained 4.95 points, while the DSE30 index declined by 0.44 points to close at 1,156.11 points and 2,162.51 points, respectively.
Among the companies traded on the day, share prices of 192 companies increased, while those of 127 companies declined. Meanwhile, share prices of 71 companies remained unchanged.
