Trading on the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), one of the country’s major stock markets, ended on a negative note on Thursday, August 20, the last trading day of the week. Turnover stood at Tk 18 crore 90 lakh 3 thousand 411 at the end of the trading session.
The information was disclosed by sources at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE).
According to the data, the benchmark CSE index, or CSCX, declined by 14.58 points to close at 9,430.69 points. Among the other indices, the CSE50 index gained 0.69 points, while the CSE30 index declined by 0.92 points to close at 1,108.57 points and 13,877.93 points, respectively.
Among the companies traded on the day, share prices of 76 companies increased, while those of 87 companies declined. Meanwhile, share prices of 33 companies remained unchanged.
