On Tuesday, August 18, the third trading day of the week, trading on the country’s main stock market, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), was underway with a positive trend in the price indices. During the first two hours of trading, turnover amounted to Tk 438 crore.
The information was reported by sources at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
According to the data, as of 12:00 PM, the DSE’s benchmark index, the DSEX, had risen by 42.38 points to stand at 5,856 points. Among the other indices, the Shariah-based DSES index gained 9.04 points, while the DS30 index rose by 11.59 points, reaching 1,166.80 points and 2,187.25 points, respectively.
As of 12:00 PM, share prices of 286 companies had increased, while 56 companies had declined. Meanwhile, the share prices of 45 companies remained unchanged.
