Trading at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), one of the country’s major stock markets, was underway with a positive trend in the price indices on Wednesday, August 19, the fourth trading day of the week. Turnover stood at Tk 3 crore in the first two hours of trading.

According to the data, as of 12:00 noon, the benchmark CSCX index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange had gained 2.05 points, standing at 9,454 points.
Among the other indices, the CSE50 Index rose by 0.03 points to 1,105.73 points, while the CSE30 Index declined by 16.08 points to 13,862.45 points.
By 12:00 noon, shares of 36 companies had advanced in price, while 69 companies declined and 16 companies remained unchanged.
