October 1 (Thursday): Trading on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the country’s premier stock market, ended on a negative note on the last trading day of the week. The total turnover stood at Tk 723 crore 11 lakh 10 thousand at the end of the session.
The information was disclosed by the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
According to the data, the benchmark DSEX index fell by 18.79 points to close at 5,531.64 points.
Among the other indices, the DSES Shariah Index declined by 2.23 points to close at 1,100.11 points, while the DS30 Index dropped by 4.90 points to settle at 2,103.54 points.
Of the companies traded on the day, share prices of 85 companies advanced, while 242 companies declined. Meanwhile, the share prices of 58 companies remained unchanged.
